This work measures 6x6 inches (15.25x15.25cm) and is the most colorful in this series that I have created to date. It is watercolor painted on hot-press Arches paper. I’ve signed and dated the painting on the back of the piece.
Tourmaline is arguably the most full spectrum gem there is, and this specimen is the ideal in that regard. It ranges from deep candy pink to electric lime green, with hints of turquoise and maroon as well. The specimen depicted here comes from Minas Gerias, Brazil.
